The pirates are here!!! and so apparently is winter! There is lots to do this weekend in and around the Heights community if you dare face the frigid temps and mayhem coming from the bay this weekend!
2022 – 106th GASPARILLA PARADE OF PIRATES –
The Gasparilla Invasion: 11:30am–1pm – the festivities begin when the mystical ship Jose Gasparilla will magically appear in the southern end of Hillsborough Bay at 11:30am.
Official Gasparilla Brunch @ Tampa Convention Center: 10am- includes entertainment, a cash bar and a reserved seat for the best view of the historic Gasparilla Invasion. Tickets to brunch are $140
Gasparilla Parade Of Pirates: 2-6PM – consisting of over 103 high tech, elaborate floats, 5 marching bands, and over 50 Krewes. Starts at Bayshore & Bay to Bay and meanders through downtown and ends at Cass St.
Gasparilla Pirate Fest 2022 – Pirate Fest will feature stages with live entertainment pre and post parade in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park (Ashley and Twiggs), and MacDill Park (Ashley and Whiting). There will also be parties and themed events throughout downtown.
SHIPWRECKED MUSIC FESTIVAL 2022
Pirate themed Tampa Bay Music and Heritage Festival happening at the Cuban Club in Ybor City Friday & Saturday (5pm-1am) Featuring performances by Nora En Pure and Green Velvet with special guests Baauer, Chee, Durante, Guppi, Franky Rizardo, Huxley Anne, Marvel Years and Tsu Nami. 18 and older only. Tickets available at ShipWreckedMusicFestival.com
