Southeast Seminole Heights is located in the southeast quadrant of the Heights community east of I-275. Its boundaries are locally known as Hillsborough Ave on the north, Nebraska Ave to the west, MLK Blvd to the south and 15th Street to the east. The eastern boundary has begun to blur as renovation and natural inclusion to the market has occurred further east of 15th Street. Many homes in this area were originally in the early 20’s to mid 50’s and there has been a significant amount of renovation and economic renewal in the area over the last decade. There is a significant amount of new construction within the residential area and along the Nebraska corridor.
Giddens Park is the only city park in this neighborhood which offers athletics, dog walking and recreation. The Nebraska Avenue corridor boasts a growing entertainment sector in the Heights offering restaurants, pubs and shops.
The Southeast Seminole Heights Civic Association serves its residents, businesses and friends with established community organizations and neighborhood watch initiatives. The Southeast Seminole Heights Civic Assn hosts a signature food an musical street event annually in the fall which showcases many local restaurants, breweries and performing artists with the neighborhood homes serving as the venue.
