Seminole Heights Northeast

Northeast Seminole Heights is locally known as the subset of Old Seminole Heights located east of I-275. The boundaries of this neighborhood the Hillsborough River to the north, 15th St to the east, Hanna to the south and I275 to the west. Seminole Crest located north of Sligh in the cul-de-sac of the river ease to 22nd St is also commonly included in this community.

Similar to most of Old Seminole Heights the homes were established in the early 20th century, with another major development effort occurring between the 30’s and 50’s. The homes are greatly made up of bungalows and American Craftsman style architecture. Recent economic growth has contributed to major revitalization of this neighborhood.

Northeast Seminole Heights was an initial gateway to the Sulpher Spring and arcade located just north of the Hillsborough River. The Sulphur Spring located in Water Tower park is a walkable park and has views of the spring where many manatees congregate. There are 5 public parks, including two “pocket parks” located on the river in this community. The parks along Park Cir offer water access for fishing and kayaks. The park at the end of 22nd St offers baseball and a “double 9-hole” frisbee golf course!

North East Seminole Heights Neighborhood Association is a subset of the Old Seminole Heights Neighborhood Association.
