TAMPA BAY BEER WEEK

Tampa Bay Beer Week, Inc. (TBBW), is a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization established in 2012 to showcase the Tampa Bay area as an emerging and vibrant craft beer destination and to advance the local and international craft beer culture.

Tampa Bay Beer Week is a week-long celebration of the vibrant beer culture found throughout the Tampa Bay area. Tampa Bay Beer Week begins annually on the first Saturday of March and ends 8 days later. Since the inaugural Tampa Bay Beer Week in 2012, TBBW has hosted hundreds of events.

The fun starts this Friday with a kick off party at The Mermaid Tavern, 6719 N Nebraska Ave, from 8-11pm and at Magnanimous Brewing, 1420 N Florida, from 6-9pm.

One of the main local events is the Florida Brewers Guild Craft Beer Festival will happen Saturday from 2-5pm at Perry Harvey Sr. Park, 1000 E Harrison St.

The Brewer’s Ball 2023 happens Sunday March 5^th from 11am-4:30pm at River Tower Park, 401 E. Bird St., where homebrewers and professional brewers together from across the state vie for the presentation of the Best Florida Beer Championships’ Best of Show.

Other events happen across Tampa Bay throughout the week. Many of our local Heights breweries and pubs will participate, so you don’t have to go far to enjoy the fun!

53^rd GASPARILLA FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS

The Gasparilla Festival of the Arts was conceived back in the early 70’s and has been a perennial mainstay of the Spring in Tampa. This year the show has grown to feature hundreds of national and local artists showing their crafts in an effort to win $15,000 best of Show, or a part of the over $70,000 additional prize money.

In addition to experiencing this emersion of professional artists there will be children’s events, local artist showcases and of course food and music to enjoy during this weekend. A special aspect of the festival will be the TBBCA Chalk Walk where chalk artists bring their amazing 8’x8’ chalk drawings to life in an interactive live-art experience!

The festival is happening Saturday from 9am-6pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm at the Julian B Lane Park. The event is free and open to the public. More information can be obtained at gasparillaarts.com.

SUNCOAST SPORTS FESTIVAL

This is a 2-day multi-national sports event featuring gymnastics, trampoline, tumbling, martial arts, parkour, etc. 1,000 athletes and around 3,000 people per day visit this event.
