FLORIDA MAN PARTY
Join your neighbors at C1949 on Friday between 6:30pm-10pm for the second annual The Florida Man Party! This was originally planned as a small birthday party for Ellie, but everyone seems to be *really* into the idea, so we’re opening it up to the whole community! EVERYONE IN THE COMMUNITY IS WELCOME!
This is a party where everyone comes dressed as a Florida Man or Florida Woman and/or any hurtful stereotypes about Floridians and Florida. My favorite last year was the Palmetto Bug costume, but there were so many creative takes on exactly what we all know makes this place so crazy! I’m buying a drink for anybody brave enough to dress as a Florida politician!
SETH MYERS
Seth Meyers is an Emmy Award-winning writer and host of “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” Legendary writer, actor & host of SNL he shared the stage with the likes of Tina Fey, Amy Poehler & Bill Hader. Seth was the longest running anchor host of Weekend Update until Colin Jost took that title. He is currently the third longest actor performing on SNL behind Darrel Hammpnd and Kennan Thompson.
After becoming host of Late Night With Seth Myers in 2008 he released his Emmy nominated debut standup special “Lobby Baby” on Netflix. Seth has regularly been active on the standup circuit ever since. If you’ve been missing late night humor, this show will definitely fill the bill! 813 DAY
Sparkman Wharf will host its 4th annual 813 Day, which celebrates Tampa with a social media fundraiser benefiting The Florida Aquarium, a nonprofit with a mission to save marine wildlife through conservation, research, education and rescue efforts.
Live music by local bands from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A variety of $8.13 specials from various Sparkman Wharf retailers. Starting at 8:13 p.m., the first 50 people to visit Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams will receive one complimentary ice cream scoop.
