Two-day free event that spans the entire length of the Riverwalk including several parks and features family-friendly activities and events showcasing Tampa’s cultural institutions, local musicians and restaurants.  The festival includes Taste of Riverwalk on Friday night and RiverFiesta (NEW!) on Saturday.  There is also a full concert series of tribute bands on the main stage in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and a balloon glow at sunset on both nights.  Other activities include a wiener dog derby, a lantern parade, yoga, a water ski show and a paddle invasion.

 

 

WMNF Tropical Heatwave is back again this Saturday at the Cuban Club in Ybor City. This music festival will take place on three stages throughout the venue and will feature acts like Rocket 88, Vodkanauts Have Gun Will Travel and a host of other local and regional bands. The Gulfport Amalgamated Marching Band kicks off the festivities around 6pm and the music goes on into the morning. Tickets available at wmnf.org/wmnf_events/tropicalheatwave and at the door.

Happening at the Corner Club Sunday @ 5pm. Proceeds from the crawfish boil will go towards neighborhood beautification with 2 murals on the Corner Club building organized by Tampa Walls! to be painted in December as part of the festival. 7th Sun Brewery is hosting This Little Pig’s “We be boilin” this Sunday from 4-8pm. They’ll have plenty of crawfish ($18/lb), muffulettas ($16) and all the fixins.
