Well I’m goin down island for a while & won’t be here for next week’s episode of the Heights Highlights. So here’s a double dose of stuff going on over the next couple of weekends in and around the Heights!

BOAT PARADES

Everybody knows that Tampa is getting as known for boat parades as it is for Gasparilla land parades. There’s a couple of maritime festivities coming up.

Friends of the River Boat Parade is happening on Sunday the 11th at 6pm and features mainly canoes, kayaks & paddleboards decked out in costumes & lights. The parade starts at the Lowery Park boat ramp and heads north to the Nebraska bridge. You have to register by Saturday @ 5pm at  https://bit.ly/3D6jn4d.

Downtown Holiday Lighted Boat Parade is happening on Saturday Dec 17th at 6pm and will feature boats of all sizes and types decked out for the holidays! It’s $75 per boat to participate and you can register at https://thetampariverwalk.com/

LOCASH AT THE PARK
Named “country music’s iconic feel-good duo” by PEOPLE magazine, the band LoCash plays at Curtis Hixon Park at 6pm on Saturday evening! Tickets available at https://www.eventliveus.com/purchase/event/2682511

COSPLAY ANYONE? 
Tampa Bay Holiday CosPlay 2022 – Florida is quickly becoming known as the CosPlay State and Tampa probably is the capital! Thinking that Captain America shield is just what a Santa Suit needs, here’s your opportunity. Happening the weekend of the 10th – 11th at the Tampa Convention Center.
