THE SOUND IN CLEARWATER DEBUT
The Sound, a music venue located in Clearwater at Coachman Park, makes it’s debut this week and through the weekend. A part of a $400 million project called Imagine Clearwater where public spaces around downtown and Coachman are being renovated to draw more local and tourist traffic to the area. The benefit for us is that the venue will draw mid-level artists to a 4,000 seat arena with an additional 5,000 lawn capacity. Acts like Peter Frampton, Michael Franti, Goo Goo Dolls and John Fogerty and a bunch of other acts are scheduled to perform throughout the month! 4th OF JULY FIREWORKS AND EVENTS
As the 4th lies on this coming up Tuesday, there are a few different dates to celebrate the nation’s birthday!
The annual Boom by the Bay Hard Rock Takeover of Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park will return on Saturday, July 1, 2023 featuring lots of family oriented fun & events and highlighted by a fireworks show after dark.
The Heights District Fourth of July Celebration at Armature Works Tuesday from 3pm-10pm. Festivities include a large-scale riverfront concert, spectacular fireworks display, Friends of the Riverwalk Boat Parade, annual Hot Dog Eating competition and other family friendly fun!
Sparkman Wharf is celebrating Independence Day with its 5th annual Star Spangled Sparkman— a staple community event with entertainment for all ages. Guests will have a spectacular waterfront view of the fireworks show as one of Tampa Bay’s prime viewing locations. Happening Tuesday July 4th from 4pm-10pm.
PARTY ON THE BLOCK
A few vendors locate on Florida between the intersections of W Alva & W Chelsea have a little block party on the last Thursday of each month (or tonight)! Disco Dolls is having an art opening, Tiger Dust features games. Royal Susie & Far Forest have music and offer party related offerings and Sea Maids Creamery offers a few night time oriented specialties. There are usually food trucks and other vendors. This is a really cool scene to meet neighbors, check out some of these local businesses and enjoy a little music and entertainment!
