Now Spring is here! … March 19th is the Vernal Equinox which happens when the sun, traveling from south to north, crosses the celestial equator. Not to be confused with the Furnal Equinox, a cosplay envent for those who enjoy the act of emmulating comic furry animals happening in Toranto. So find your green, grab a friend and get out and enjoy the weather! Lots of things going on this weekend! Here’s a few outstanding things to consider:
RIVER O’ GREEN
The annual Tampa St. Patty’s Day party is on Saturday at Curtis Hixon Park along the Riverwalk from 11am to 6pm. They river will be dyed with eco friendly green color and the park will feature live music, kids activities, food trucks, and of course, beer. For the first time the 1st U.S. Volunteer Cavalry Regiment – Rough Riders will host a parade starting at 5pm and winding its way through downtown and past the park. This will be a fun family way to celebrate all things Irish!
6th SHUFFLE-VERSARY
This women owned entertainment venue has been a staple in the Tampa Heights area for 6 years now. They will be celebrating all this weekend with great live music like a Women in Music showcase on Friday, Lauris Vidal & Tribal Style on Saturday and the great Mama Said String Band on Sunday. Of course shuffleboard, drink specials and great food are on the menu as always! Thanks Danielle & Jen for sustaining this community gathering spot!
XOXO ART & MUSIC FESTIVAL
The XOXO Art & Music Festival will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 12 PM–12 AM at Armature Works in Tampa, Florida. The festival will feature more than 75 artists, including Jason Perez and TT Art Collectives, as well as family-friendly activities like Ferris wheel rides. The festival will also include a Beats & Brushes Music Stage with world-renowned DJs and artists.
2024 OSHNA HOME TOUR
The 2024 OSHNA Home Tour is scheduled for Sunday April 7th. Check out some of the unique homes located along the riverfront in the Northwest corner of Old Seminole Heights! Tickets are available @
