Happening in the Heights 11/10/2023

We all celebrate this Saturday for Veterans Day. Originally “Armistice Day” it was started to celebrate the end of the 1st World War. In 1954 it became a federal holiday, observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces. A big salute goes out to those who serve to keep us free! BTW, the weather will be warm this weekend so it will be a great time to explore the community! Maybe a music festival (hint hint)…

RIVER TOWER MUSIC FESTIVAL

There is an all day music festival happening at River Tower Park (401 E Bird) on Saturday featuring numerous acts and styles of music, food vendors and craft beer.  The River Tower Festival is a grass roots effort to create a non-profit revenue stream for the restoration and preservation of the Sulphur Springs Water Tower and improvements to the surrounding River Tower Park. This is a kid friendly event that starts at noon and the bands play on until 10pm. Tickets at the door or online at www.rivertowerfestival.org
