Wow! Not that I am trying to focus on sports commentary, but congrats to the Bucs for an unexpected win! I love that we are usually the underdogs! This weekend portends the beginning of parade & festival season. Gasparilla & all things pirate are happening over the next few weekends! Hope the weather cooperates! Lot’s to do around town! KID’S GASPARILLA
It’s time for the Children’s Gasparilla Parade this Saturday the 20th starting at 4pm. The Children’s Gasparilla Parade has been a part of Tampa’s Gasparilla celebration since 1947. This family-friendly parade takes place along Bayshore Boulevard from Bay to Bay Boulevard, moving north to Edison Avenue. Note to all! This is a non-drinking event and will be enforced as such! Save the party for next weekend!
SOUTHERN CULTURE ON THE SKIDS
OK, I wouldn’t probably bring this up except that they are one of my favorite bands and well worth checking out if you have the opportunity! Southern Culture on the Skids (ROCKABILLY, COUNTRY, SURF) https://www.scots.com Serving up a mix of Surf, Rockabilly, R&B and Country-Fried Garage with a side of Psych! Lot’s of songs about chicken, bouffant hairdos and cars lend to hilarious lyrics and great string bending music! Playing Saturday night at Skipper’s Smokehouse!
