The Florida State Fair opens today! Florida State Fair: Feb. 9-20, 2023. Who doesn’t love the Florida State Fair? From the livestock tents to the magical midway, circus acts and politicians, hot bands and local personalities — and food! They offer discounted tickets for 1st responders today! LIVE & LOCAL

The Straz Center is reviving their Live & Local musical performances at the Riverwalk Stage Friday night @ 6pm. This week is Shevonne and The Force who are often compared to Prince, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston, all rolled into one. This is just an excellent way to spend a Friday happy hour!

SANT YAGO ILLUMINATED KNIGHT PARADE

The largest illuminated night parade in the South returns to Ybor City on Saturday night starting at 7pm! Over 100 organizations will come together to celebrate an unforgettable night full of lighted floats, beads and plenty of fun! The Knights of Sant’ Yago will lead many of Tampa’s illustrious Krewes, prominent businesses, and other social organizations featuring our Grand Marshal, Luiz “Gonzo” Gonzalez, Florida Sports Hall of Fame baseball player, Tampa native, and Jefferson High School graduate. Also featuring special guest Steve Wilkos, host of “The Steve Wilkos Show”, one of daytime television’s most popular programs.

BARK IN THE PARK

Tampa’s Favorite Dog and Family-Friendly Festival is Saturday from 11am-3pm at Curtis Hixon Park. Join us for some fun in the sun at this dog and family-friendly outdoor festival featuring adoptable animals, fun activities for dogs, vendor booths to stroll through, food trucks, libations, and music in the park. Donations & fundraising to Help Homeless Animals in Tampa Bay. Bark in the Park 2023 supports the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, who saves over 13,000 homeless animals each year.

If you have a favorite, want to check out Riri’s comeback performance since 2018, or just watch the commercials and wings Sunday night will be the biggest sportsball event of the year. I’m giving 1.5 points to the Eagles & hope to see a demonic rendition of Umbrella!
