Welcome to Labor Day weekend! … and I’m outta here! I’ll be “down island” for a little while, so I’m bringing you two weekends worth of events going on in and around The Heights in this week’s newsletter. Ya’ll have fun & go support our local shops, restaurants and pubs!
10TH ANNUAL FORD INTNL CUBAN SANDWICH FESTIVAL
Folks from all over the country serving up various renditions of the historic Cuban sandwich originally introduced in Tampa, FL! This event is free to the public and happens on Sunday 9/5 at the Centro Asturiano de Tampa – 1913 N Nebraska – from 11am-4:30pm
2021 TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY PARTY
This is a fun event put on by the Crewe of Bobby C Davis to support the Hospice Cup Foundation and our local Hospice organizations. Pirate dress contests, oRRRation contests. raffles and music will all be a part of this event being held at Gaspar’s Grotto on 7th in Ybor – Friday 9/17 from 5pm-11pm. $10 donation at the door provides your first drink on the house. Come party for a cause!
HEIGHTS SUNDAY MORNING MARKET
Happening again at Southern Brewing on Sunday Sept 12th. Lots of local vendors, crafts and of course the beer! This is always a fun distraction on a Sunday morning and a place to see lots of your neighbors!
