Hope you all had a great Christmas! My stockings were over filled &  got to have a lot of fun with neighbors and friends this season! I am also grateful for the return of normal winter weather! Maybe just a few raindrops to dodge early on New Years Eve. Here’s some stuff to do in and around the Heights this weekend!

NEW YEAR EVE
Where ya gonna watch the ball drop?! There’s quite a few New Years Eve gatherings in the community. Here’s a few:

Skipper’s Smoke House – Donna The Buffalo – DTB is a roots / zydeco national recording artists featuring their latest release Dance in the Street as well as numerous fan favs. BTW, there’s also a show on Friday! Tickets $30 adv, $35 door

Independent Bar & Cafe – “Indie” New Years Eve – annual (free!) neighborhood New Year’s Eve Bash! DJ CUB spinning all your favorites and a complimentary hot dog bar as you bring in 2023!

Corner Club – Hot Time in the Old Town Tonight! NYE Party – first annual New Years party in the new digs. There will be Bottle & Bucket specials, & of course fireworks fun throughout the night.

Shuffle Tampa – No Bull Sh!t New Years Eve Party – No dress code, no cover. Shuffleboard and food and drinks and friends. Featuring the musical duo The Sculpted Air Research Group. And it’s Phil Bonito’s birthday! 

Armature Works – West Lawn Party – Primarily focused on the fireworks with a complementary drink/champaign toast at midnight. GA tickets $175 @ ArmatrureWorks.com

NEW YEAR DAY
I always have to have two things on New Years Day! A bloody Mary to start and some collards and peas for luck! the results from a recent survey indicate Ell’s to be the place to start. But there’s lots of other things going on in the neighborhood:

This is the last weekend for the Winter Village, if you wanted to get that last ice skate of the season,
