Welcome to March and the “high season” for snowbird activities! The best part about living in The Heights is being able to vacation in our own back yard! This should be a fantastic weekend! Here’s what’s happening in and around Seminole Heights!

GASPARILLA FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS
This has been a major national event in the art world for over a half century and showcases artists locally and internationally to compete for some pretty lofty prize money. Plus its a great opportunity to stroll through and check out, or even purchase, some innovative art. This year will also feature live music! The show starts on Saturday morning and runs through Sunday evening at Julian B Lane Park.

TAMPA BAY BEER WEEK
Some of my friends look toward the Tampa Bay Beer Week like baseball fans look forward to Spring Training. Well, the TBBW kicks off this weekend with a host of activities in most local breweries throughout the neighborhood and region. PICNIC IN THE PARK
Looking to step back into a simpler time, pack a picnic basket and grab a blanket and come down to the Henry B Plant Museum (i.e. University of Tampa) for a leisurely afternoon on the banks of the Hillsborough. Live orchestral and bluegrass entertainment is planned and even a puppy parade to show off your fur babies. Happening Sunday from 11am – 3pm & is open to the public.


COMEDY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
